Thank You Ann Lindsay and to all the people who placed donations in the box at the Bookstore. Also thanks to those who placed donations in the town CAJA (credit union). We are replacing the rusted-out platform for Teco to stand on while cleaning the mud out of the pump station. We also have enough to pay Teco for the coming summer season.
Great News! I want to introduce HECTOR CASTILLO, long time resident of LaManzanilla, brother to Josito, who has agreed to take over my duties of paying attention to sewer business. Hector lives on Concha Molida and excellently repairs refrigerators, wash machines and cars etc. He is next-door-neighbor to Teco! They have already been working together with Alain, who replaced float valves on both pumps! Thank You Alain! We are still having a check valve problem, but we think we have a volunteer to fix that too. From now on one can call HECTOR 315-109-1660 if there is black water in the street.
I will continue as treasurer, paying Teco every Friday and Hector a small stipend every month. I’ll be organizing the donations from businesses in LaManzanilla too.
I’d like to invite you to help me celebrate my 75th birthday and official retirement from sewer on Tuesday, March 28, OPEN HOUSE (our house on the hill) from 2-4 pm. Bring an hors d'oeuvre if you like, cake and beverages provided. Cake cutting 3:30pm. Bring your favorite garment that may have a small stain. An acrylic paint table will be set up for you to paint a motif over the stain, allowing you to wear your favorite garment again!
Thank you for all your support over the last few years. Please now, give your support to HECTOR CASTILLO! 544
