“We were able to teach biology, chemistry and English at the local schools. The students learned about crocodiles, environmental protection of mangroves, static electricity, the chemistry of polymers (slime) and some key words and phrases in English.
Thanks to Deb and Dave Dagoli for setting up the biology and chemistry classes with the elementary school. And thanks to Pepe Martinez for bringing the crocodile to class and sharing his extensive knowledge. Also appreciation goes to Alberto Martinez of Catalina Foundation for giving us the opportunity to teach English and chemistry courses at the high school and secondary school.“ End quote.
--It's wonderful that these kids were exposed to these ideas, and that they could see the possiblity of a career in science! Good job Lucinda and Craig!
