Yes, a house sit would be preferable to a hotel but, FYI, virtually all foreigners here are "spoiled" with house and garden staff, and the Internet connection is excellent. (I'm an editor who works online.) Also FYI, you can respond personally to Message Board posts by clicking on the white envelope next to the person's name.
