founders of La Manzanilla at the Plaza de Toros, which used to be where
the Jardin is now!
The history of La Manz is rich. There used to be a tunnel of trees on the
road into town which covered the road to such an extent that some were
afraid to go through it. What we know as the triangle (everything
between what is on the beach and chop chop's) used to be a garden. The rio
had big trees next to it, totally different than it is today, and many
other things which Pepe could tell you about.
That history of La Manzanilla is happening now! Look at the simplicity of the
crocodillo museum for example, what will that look like in 10 years or so?
Much different would be my guess. These are the good ole day's, they always are.130
