La Manzanilla Message Board: Don Luis

We were very sad to hear that Don Luis (Campos Martinez), also known as Pelon, passed on Wednesday. He was buried in the Pantheon yesterday and rosaries are now happening every night (for 9 nites) in front of his house, across from the primary school. He was 92. His kidneys were failing, apparently he had large kidney stones and in the end, pneumonia and a heart failure.
We went by to check on all his cats and dogs, who surely miss him, and were reassured that the two remaining dogs and his cats will be cared for by the one son and family that will live on in the house.
Adios sweet Don Luis, your presence will be missed. Judy and Felipe
