I use Moneygram, online. From the US it costs $4 to send up to $3,000. Not sure of cost from Canada. They give you a PIN number which you have to give to the person receiving the money. Money gets there almost instantly. Receiver doesn't need a bank account, just ID. Unfortunately no place in Melaque to pick up, but many in Cihuat - Farmacia Guadalajara, Coppell, Electra, etc. I even sent money from here in Mexico to a friend who was in Cihuat to pick up some things for me. I've used it quite a bit and never had any problems. Used to use XOOM, but I like moneygram better. Good luck!
