La Manzanilla Message Board: Re: Miguel to PVR

My friend Miguel Garcia is an English-speaking licensed and insured taxi driver. He drives between Tomatlan and Puerto Vallarta daily. He has a new, air-conditioned 10 passenger van.

I inquired of him the cost to drive to Melaque/Barra de Navidad from Puerto Vallarta. His price is $3,000 pesos. In U.S. dollars at the current exchange rate that is approximately $150, almost the same amount I paid 5 years ago. He told me that if you can find other riders the price will remain the same and the riders can split the cost. As the van is very big, there will be room for plenty of luggage. There is a posting on the La Manzanilla message board from a woman that used his services and you can see that he is outstanding.

I had the pleasure to hire Miguel to drive my luggage, bike, and costco supplies from Puerto Vallarta to LaManz. His new Nissan 12? seater van is comfortable and spacious. He is a very thoughtful and friendly driver. His English is very good and likes to practice telling about the area and his family.
