When we purchased our home in LM we were fortunate to have many book cases filled with Mexican history books go with the casa. One being "Under The Fifth Sun' a great read about the life and history of Poncho Villa. An amazing forte written by Earl Shorris of the early turmoil, corruption, greed, wanton disregard for human life and total disregard of the same. Poncho grew out of the dirt and seriously tried to make a difference with the machete, pistolas, and later the cannon. He wanted the elite to give back the 90% to the people the government stole from, the peasants. This is a book that inspired me to want to learn much much more about the Mexican culture, the reason we moved to La Manzanilla in the first place. It is a definite eye opener This book is available @ amazon.com. Enjoy
