La Manzanilla Message Board: One little story

I was just thinking back over the Kayak years and remembered this one....

Sometimes the kids who ask to use them are so young that I tell them they have
to go get someone older to ask me, brave little suckers!

I am more careful on the age when the waves are of any size. One time the Kayak
got away from the kids and hit a lady in the lower calf. She started looking for
the kids who were using it but they all split and left me holding the bag
(old bag more like it). It gave her a little bruise and I apologized a couple of
times.

Unfortunately she was camped on the beach about 10 meters from the beach bar
where we were drinking and she was the victim type. For about a 1/2 hour she
kept on looking for the kids and bit#hing at me, I finally just told her to
shut up (try that in the US). Her husband was right there next to her when I
said it and never said a word to me. I swear I saw a little smile come across
his face, like it was something he has been wanting to say to her for years.

Needless to say that episode resulted in a few day's time out for all the kids
using the Kayak's. Ahh the memories
