Does anyone know what size breaker is required for a cistern pump? I tested the one in use for the pump and it was faulty...only worked if I flicked it on and off repeatedly. I replaced it with a 20 amp breaker. That was the one at the meter. The old one didn't have any numbers left on the switch. The 20 amp breaker that I just installed trips once a day now. My inside breaker panel also has a breaker for the pump, but, alas, it has been painted over and after scraping off the paint, the amperage number isn't visible, neither. I'm hoping to not have to pull the pump out again and have to untape, then retape all the wires to the outlet pipe.
Anyone?
Gracias
