There was a big to do last week about Apple intentionally slowing down older phones around the time of releasing a new line. There was even a couple of law suits started then Apple clarified the situation with this letter. To summarize the part that may apply to your slow charging situation (I don't know the age of your device or you use patterns) "heat is a huge killing factor for batteries, for instance. If your iPhone gets left out in the sun a lot or gets hot a bunch, then your battery will kick the bucket a lot sooner".

What has happened here in the states is that Apple just wants you to believe that your apple phone has slowed down and you need a new one. The fact is that your battery on the phone just needs replacing.I have a 5S and it works just fine. I'm not upgrading any longer, don't need that much drain on the battery... | ------------------------Re: iPad charger s l o w

Did you change your charger? There are 2 types of chargers - 5-watts and 12-watts. A 12-watt charger is usually best used with an iPad, and a 5-watt charger is meant for use with an iPhone. You can use a 5-watt charger on your iPad, but it will charge much more slowly | ------------------------ |
