Fantastic! Good eye. I really enjoy seeing people's posts of the flora, fauna and creepie-crawlies to be found here in La Manzanilla | ------------------------Re: Leaf Bug

Just following up... As a change of range is most unlikely, I looked further and found that this is probably a different species of katydid found in Mexico. http://orthoptera.speciesfile.org/Common/editTaxon/Distribution/ShowDistribution.aspx?TaxonNameID=1139447 And FYI, Dave, while most people generally apply the term loosely to refer to just about every insect or creepy-crawler, to be way overly technical, this is an orthopteran, i.e. not a true "bug" (which have sucking mouth parts, the Hemipterans and Homopterans). Love the photos, keep them a-comin'!! | ------------------------Re: Leaf Bug

Thanks Rebecca and Pablo. I wonder if it would be worth starting a thread and call it something like 'La Manzanilla Critters' or something like that, similar to what David Dagoli has done with human residents. I'm sure that a lot of people have great shots of the 'other' residents of La Manz. Ideas? | ------------------------
