It was incredible to gather so many people in the garden for an evening of food from Muy Rico, music by Jazzeasy and Raul, art activities, and so many abrazos, sonrisas, y sueños. There's always room to improve and so many exciting ideas have come up since Saturday. If you have feedback please email me, I would love to hear it.
The event was made possible by Tierralegre, La Telesecundaria, La Manzanilla Hermosa, La Catalina, Municipio La Huerta, Universidad de Guadalajara.
Gracias a Robin and Peter Walford for supporting the new compost system and the International Community Fund without whose support El Huerto Escolar would not be possible.

Thanks much for the opportunity to participate and show the kids how to make something out of nothing - basura! It brought me great joy to watch them look at the "objeto de arte," realize what it was, then break into sonrisas y risas when they saw what it was made from!!!
