Emergency Water Payments

Morgan wants to thank everyone who came into the Ejido Hall yesterday to make water payments and donations. Many homeowners paid a double payment for this year. And donations made up almost half of what was collected - one donor gave US$1000. Many folks who are only renting here in La Manzanilla donated as well. This effort was very successful, and the new pump is on the way. There will be photos of the pump being installed. Morgan will call another meeting to show the numbers for what was collected and the receipts for expenses. There is oversight on this money, and the people involved are ensuring total transparency. Thanks again to everyone who did pay their water bills and who donated. If you still haven't paid your bill, please do so. This will help to pay the higher electicity bills. Because of the drought, the water level is lower and there is less head pressure in the wells, requiring more power to run the pump. Payments and donations can be left at the Bookstore in a sealed envelope, or at Morgan's house. Kudos to everyone for helping to solve a big problem!

Thanks for the new information David. Just to clarify after speaking with Diego. The additional payment over the standard annual payment is a voluntary payment. He calls it a "double payment" ....... for this year only. It is best to make your payment direct to him as that way the ledger is sure to be updated in your presence. You also get a recept and, new this year, a number assigned for ease of payment in the future. The new pump is ordered but Morgan must go to Guadalajara to get it. While I was there, there were four locals came in to pay. | ------------------------Re: Emergency Water Payments

I´m reading this all to Morgan and he said the pump comes all the way from Chihuahua and he will then pick up in Manzanillo at the mail. It will take between 8 and 10 days to get there. And he said THANK YOU to everyone who made this happen!!!! | ------------------------Re: Emergency Water Payments
