It's a beautiful autumn day up north here in the Canadian Boreal forest... the leaves are golden, falling like yellow drops of sun and covering the ground in glorious colours. There is a brisk wind (they say all the way from Mexico) blowing in from the south, churning up the lake. The waves hitting the rocky shoreline sounds almost like the ocean. We're starting to prepare for our journey back to La Manz... all depends on the weather here. Have had a few chilly mornings, had to get out the wool socks, touque, mitts and scarf. The grey and blue jays have come back and all the Canadian Geese are practising their flight patterns. The ruby throated hummingbirds left right on schedule, and will be in Mexcio before us. When the 'frost is on the pumpkin', so to speak - we're outta here! Looking forward to seeing all the folks in La Manz mid-november. See you on the Beach! Fran, Glenn and Ed the Dog. |
