This sounds crazy but it is not--a guy in Puerto Aventura, Maya Riviera, enlisted support from the authorities to collect plastic pop bottles--caps on. He had local kids collecting for two years. then he lashed the bottles together with fishermen´s nets, making big floating blocks. Eventually he had enough to make a living-room size raft, where he lived for a few years. Palapa,small garden, compost toilet, good anchors. You can buy the same kind of raft-homes from RealGoods for 10 to 12 thousand bucks. Modern take on the ancient floating gardens in Mexico city, yes?
I would like to buy three of those big bags filled with bottles. How much delivered to Los Ingenios?
