Your memories of La Manzanilla are one of the
most wonderful things this board gives us - please
don't ever stop sharing them. This last one
was absolutely amazing - I'll never look at the
church again without thinking about you as a child
in that ruined building. I could almost smell the
flowers and melting wax. You have a real gift.

I think I've found the hurricane that hit L.M. in
the 70's - go to:

Hurricane Lily in 1971 appears to have come ashore
here, with 75 mile per hour winds. Does that sound
right? I couldn't find any other hurricanes in
the 70's that came close.
