The Sierra Nevada of California is beautiful. HIgh's of 75F during the day and a chilly 50 at night. We miss La Manz, but it is beautiful here.
The trip north was uneventful. No heads rolling down the highways. Way less inspections than normal.
I did get a very clear answer to our question of stickers and FM3's
at the Nogales car inspection stop. We were told that as long as our FM3's are Valid we DO NOT have to have the stickers cut off our windshield and upon returning we can bypass the station that ask all the questions and gives you a new sticker. Of course, if you have a different car or change your windshield you need to get a new sticker. Keep your FM3 with you at all times.
I did not ask whether you HAVE to have your FM3 stamped at the border. Once you get through the check point how do they know if you ever left Mexico?
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. The thought of driving through that checkpoint is amazing.
