It may be a good idea not to anthropomorphize this turtle in that way. You're applying human values to an animal that evolved under an entirely separate set of conditions. All the "distractions" didn't stop her... if she would have gone back to sea without laying her eggs I would be more inclined to agree with you. As it is I can't think of a better situation to give people reasons for the preservation / protection of these animals.... If I were to anthropomorphize I would say she may be a very advanced turtle....a teacher of teachers.... I am glad there was no authority there to distance the lesson. It was / is perfect |
