Our house is on the corner of the Jardin. In December a letter was brought to us in the name of the previous owner asking for around $3000 for paving. I refused to pay on the spot and waited until we went to La Huerta to pay taxes to inquire about it. Daniel at the tax office told us not to worry about it. So whether we will eventually get a new letter or not I don't know. I don't have a problem paying a ligitimate fee if everyone has been levied the same fee, but it seems rather random. I'd be interested to hear how many people have paid the fee.
