You must be joking, any links to sources which back up your statement? More like the global economy would receive a big time shot in the arm from the taxes and reduced expenditures in law enforcement and incarceration expenses. There would be a down side, like a lost generation. But once people are given choices they make them. It seems overly simplistic but just leave them to find their way. I wonder what a general in a regular war would do when faced with the stats of the war on drugs? To say your losing is practically an understatement. When you consider the odds of winning....to say they are "poor at best" would be a similar understatement. It is a tough decision to make...so many "what if's". Somehow I just have this completely blind faith in humanity, and what we tend to do when we are allowed to find what does and does not have value. Certainly the value of the delicate nature of perception and the gift of life will surface in time. It's sitting right there, hidden in plain sight. |
