storm. When I got back the next morning and saw that the office was not
only standing but had minimal damage inside, I wished I would have stayed
and gotten the rush that would have come with being that close to the hurricane
and not knowing how it was going to turn out. It made me feel old, or older
that I left. All my life I have been doing crazy stuff, there was actually
a time I did not think I was going to live to see 30. Here I am at 60 and
completely without preparation for such an anomaly. If I were to look for the silver
lining it would be that at least I am not drinking out of glasses which would
hold such an amount of rain.
