The miss reporting of Canadian main stream media

I just talked to a friend in Canada, they told me that the main stream news is seriously miss reporting the recent events in our area. Interviewing people who say the area is rife with drug dealing, AK-47's and showing pictures of car's which are shot up with bullets and other chaos. They show this over and over and over. I think it is time to protest this miss reporting and fear mongering, to bring it into the light and to question the motive behind it. This seems to be more than just capitalizing on bad news, it is a direct attack on the country of Mexico. I wonder how the people of Canada would feel if News around the world used photos and events of city crimes when reporting remote countryside events, blurring the line between the two locations in an attempt to thwart tourism (or whatever) to Canada? I am going to write a reporter I know in Canada and see if I can get this some attention. Anyone else pissed enough to do something about it? |
