Yes, this was new information to me - in my case, the video kept stopping, so I'm not sure I got it all. A Wikipedia article says: "Aedes aegypti prefers to lay its eggs in artificial water containers, to live in close proximity to humans, and to feed on people rather than other vertebrates.[23]" So this is really good information - that we need to do a scan of our environment every day, looking for standing water in anything even as small as a bottle cap, I guess. I didn't see any reference to papaya leaf juice, coconut water or carambola in the Wikipedia article as one of the management techniques. Anybody know how to add that? |
