I do a lot of back country hiking. Any book you read on dealing with "poop" in a coastal area mentions the "tidal flush"...burying the offending stuff deep in the sand below the high tide mark. The problem takes care of itself with the next high tide....a much more eco friendly solution than bagging it in plastic to sit in a landfill for decades.
