We have used the ATM at the airport two times and it worked great. It was in both Spanish and English so it was easy to use. the max we could take out was 6000 pesos. We have taken taxi's from the airport up here for the last 3 years and all agreed to stop at Ciuatlan with no charge. If you do use the ATM at the airport I don't think you can use the ATM at CIuatlan if it is in the same banking system. They only let you take out the limit each day. I don't know about an extra charge for a taxi stopping in Melaque, but again, I think it is the same banking system.
