Thanks for the clarification on Intercam procedures.

I checked on my information source on the maximum deposits of 15,000 pesos. The new laws actually state that all bank deposits over 15,000 pesos will be reported to SAT. SAT may contact you for clarification of your source of the funds and levy a penalty if you don't respond.

Apparently, you will also now need an RFC number (available from SAT)to open a bank account. To get an RFC number from SAT, you need a CURP number. This number is printed on your residency visa (if you have a newer one).

Confused yet? I'm not trying to be funny, but I am confused.
