Reasons to purchase 1. once the US economy improves, so with the value of land and homes in Mexico as there is a direct link 2. in my opinion, owning is a good long term investment, it is not for the light of heart and you should not invest more than you can afford to lose. Yes, there has been some very bad investments but there also has been many great investments in land and property. 3. You have to do your research and feel comfortable that where you are investing in, is the 'right' location and it is where you want to come back to year after year. 4. there is nothing wrong with renting but finding a good home at a good rate, year after year is sometimes difficult 5. La Manzanilla is a great community and I feel honoured to be a welcomed guest there, I have always felt safe and comfortable as I am sure many others have, renting will tell you what you want and don't want, so renting is probably the safest thing to do from the get go. All in my opinion
