Does anyone know how to persuade Duoling to stop sending unsolicited emails(some days I receive 5 or more emails re: replies to participants' questions. This is my worst SPAM.

Hi Mayama, I would think there would be a place to change that (not sure where it is). If I find an answer to your situation I will post it later. My Spam is independent translators from around the world offering their services, I get a couple per day. It sounds quite different than yours, I am not even sure mine is connected to Dualingo. The other spam I get is from Linkedin, ever try to quit that service? Its next to impossible. Talk about invasive.

Go to you're start button, click control panel, click internet options, click security and adjust filters. Play around with it for awhile but remember what you do there! Maybe write down the process so you do not forget. Just takes practice. I use MSN homepage and outlook which offers me the option of blocking whomever I choose..

Se' and, you can click on "phishing Scam" and never see that site ever again. msn.com also you can install Google Chrome as you're web browser which has stricter filters and NO pop up ads whatsoever,, I have both web browsers installed and browse (literally) back and forth between the two. good luck..... Hi Mayama, Sign in to Duolingo, to go settings. At the bottom it says Notifications, you will find the way to stop the emails there.

Thanks so much to all the replies. I am looking forward to blocking the repetitive emails from Duolingo. I do enjoy using the website and teachings, but not the annoying emails.

Open your Duolingo account; click on your user name (top right, next to your pic); look for the drop-down box; click on settings; click on notifications. You can then uncheck a whole variety of things they email you about. Then click on "save changes". BTW, the encryption device lower down this window was created by the creator of Duolingo.
