Terri Lee, Cruz, Lisa, Carol, Mayama, Monte, Craig -
I think I can relax a bit now- lol.
I won't be bringing Anascorp as it is in the thousands of dollars
and i doubt an MD in the US would give me a 'script for an IV med 'just in case'. There is a reluctance to even use it except as last resort.
(see: JEMS- The Journal of Emergency Medicine)
Sherri visited the pharmacy yesterday- They were OUT of anti-venom serum
but expecting delivery by end of day.
I will certainly make the pharmacy and clinic my first stops on arrival. Good advice.
I'm told that credit cards are not accepted locally , but I may call the pharmacy and see if there's a way I can have them 'hold' serum in my name which I would pay for when I get there -whether I need it or not.
I'm traveling down with my hostess Alison Granucci . She hasn't owned her place all that long, but since
it's a small town, some of you may have met her.
Even though it's all new to me, as is the scorpion issue to her, she will have some idea of who/what/where.
And is having the place fumigated this week.
Still very much looking forward to adventures in paradise-
Sandy
