In Ajijic the DIF require four copies of all pages of your FM3/FM2, four infantil B/W or color pictures, and four copies of the two identification pages of your passport. If they are "out," you can return later to pick up your cards (there are two, DIF and a second one the name of which escapes me at the moment). There are no other costs associated with getting the cards. We have all of our copies and pictures and just need to return from La Manz to Chapala to get them. My future concern is that there are now at least four new tarjetas in my future wallet, all from the Mexican federal government: FM2/3, IMSS, DIF and the other one I forgot (plus CURP if you have that laminated). That's a wallet full what with credit cards, Soriana card, etc. Buena suerte!
