Well, this hug-fest is a good opportunity for me to thank "D" for this site, and all the good info, especially during the tsunami and hurricane. Background: My aunt Mary spends her "winters" from the Yukon in Melaque, for several years now. She stays at an apartment with no phone, with a local family down below. And, my mother visits her every year for a couple of weeks. So, I did some searches a few years back for a good English-speaking/written resource for info on the area -- and I happen across this great bulletin board (as well as the lamanzanilla.com site). I haven't meant to lurk, Danny, but I use your site to check up on things while family is in Melaque on Eucalipto Street, and I never really had anything to "add" to postings before this. I am your "friend" (notice, not "old friend!") from Box Canyon, from the days of Woody and the Step Van, who introduced you to Sheik (who you fixed back up, and who fixed "you", I think, too); who then fluttered off to the Hawaiian Islands. I was glad to find that you are living a good life, always by your own rules, with good friends around you. You are a gifted writer, as well. I found this an amazing coincidence, the importance of this site to me now that I have family just a village away from you!
