Thieves tried to steal our Ford truck at Tenacatita years ago. We then removed the rotor from the distributor evry night and when parked in big cities like Guadalajara. Now there are no rotors in motors but there must be some other component that would be easy to remove so the engine won't start. It is more trouble then a secret switch but may be a temporary solution until you get your switch. We use a club on our car knowing they can get it off but hope that it is a deterent and the thieves will move on to an easier target. We also have car insurance.
