Lobos & Osos are ROARING once again

Good morning all you beisbol fans!! Today's report is featuring the Star of the Week. Todays' honour goes to the Osos's Captain--Bryon Lopez. Bryon is the young man who received a bat, ball & glove on Wind Up Day last May for his Perfect Attendance during last season. It is quite evident that he practised with them over the summer break. Bryon connected with the ball each time he was up to bat, but the outstanding plays by the Lobos' fielders kept him for scoring. That is till the 3rd inning. Bases were loaded, and Bryon took a minute before stepping up to the plate. He scanned the field, looking for a "hole". Then, confidently he positioned his feet and bat. First pitch, fast, and on the outside edge of home plate, just what he had been looking for. The pitch met the "meat" of his bat, sailing over the head of the right fielder. For those of you who know our playing field, you know how far that ball will roll once it hits the ground. Nuff said--GRAND SLAM HOME RUN!! Though the Lobos' bats were active, Bryon's hit sealed the win for the Osos. Final score--Osos 15, Lobos-10. This game was still just for practice and training. Monday, November 4, the competition really begins. So pick your favourite team, and please do come out and cheer them on!! As I have said many times the kids LOVE to play for an audience and YOU will have a great time!! 4 o'clock every Monday at the Soccer Field. Hope to see you there!!!!!!!!
