When the new bank machines in Melaque were . . . ah, new . . . I was assisted by a Banamex employee one day when my Cdn chip card, once again, was refusing to 'play nice'. Under her watchful eye, I followed her instructions: put the card in . . . take it out--even though the machine's instructions tell you to leave it in. SO: take it out, put in your pin, and 'voila' pesos! It worked for me time after time. Put the card in. Take it out. Enter pin. Wait for the pesos to magically appear. I'd be interested in knowing whether this method still works. Try it. There's naught to lose.
