New Year's resolutions inside the cap. This one is "Stop hating my mother-in-law." Keep drinking, I'm curious what the rest of them say.

Here are 2 others - from other lunches, other than mine :o) Hacerle entender a mi suegro que no soy un vago and Dejar de ser cursi y ser más ruido (make it clear to my mother-in-law that I'm not vague?) (stop being cheesy and be more rough?) Thanks for any help with the translation, Mark!

"Make it clear to my father-in-law that I am not a slacker." and the second one probably reads "rudo" not "ruido" and so means "be less corny (or cheesy) and be more crude (unsophisticated)." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudo_y_Cursi

My dictionary shows 'cursi' as showy or pretentious. These are fun; though clearly, I'm going to have to change beer brand in order to up the entertainment value! :O)

Perhaps there should be a comma in there. . . and maybe a capital on the last word! :O)

"Bolsa" in this case refers to the stock exchange. "Andar en bolsa" means to trade stocks in the market.

Saw one recently on Bictoria; "If your tired of being fat and ugly, go on a diet, and you will only be ugly." Cruel but true. Rojo

My Mexican husband says "dejar de andar de bolsa" is one of several ways to say stop being lazy...a polite way...

I believe that's "conseguir una novia rica", which means "get a rich girlfriend".
