Once again Deanna thank you for keeping us up to speed on what the weather is doing in LM. Your info is very valuable to those of us who are not there for the summer months. As to Boca getting more rain than where your place is situated up against the mountain that is behind LM, I can only take a guess. If the rain is coming from the mountains Boca may get more because it is in the valley and farther from the mountains than your place. Plus, your being tucked up against the mountain may give you a kind of dry (lee) side affect like Kona being dry on the big island while the other side is real wet. If the weather is coming from the ocean it is usually storm driven and comes from the south or south-west. This pattern puts the Boca valley right in the bulls eye of most storms coming from the ocean because of its situation at the middle of the crescent of the LM beach. Homes up against the mountain, that are also protected by the big mountain on the south end of the LM bay, may be more protected from storms from the south or south-west. Just a hunch and food for thought! Muchas Gracias! Adios! |
