We have found over the last 6 years that in most of the places in LM you can eat anything you want without being concerned about getting sick. They serve so many gringos and many of the Mexicans they serve are accustomed to eating fresh things that are safe. Many of them use bottled water when preparing things and/or use the water additive that kills the bugs. |
We also eat at the 'chop shop' places on the Jardine and have seldom had a problem that is more than the same kind of disgestive problem that I got just last week in a place in CA.
The only time that either Ann or I have had anything other than a minor problem was when we got stuck at the resort across the bay.
We have a bottle of the 'stuff' that you use to make the green things safe, but I am not sure we use it all the time. We do wash things with bottled water. You pay about the same for 5 gals of it as you do for a small bottle personal size bottle.
Now for the disclaimer.......... if you get sick, don't blame me. I am just relating our experience and trust that you will find the same.
I don't think twice about ordering a salad at any of the places where we eat.
