I had this same problem solamente con transitos, most of the cops were really helpful regarding the complex method of making turns across traffic on the divided one-way lanes.

The problem cleared up after I localized mi carro, I used Mardi-Gras beads in several colors hanging from my rear-view, attached to the beads are the following: St. Christopher medal. CROSS-from a religious items store...muy importante! Y several milagros obtained in Santa Fe, NM Also a small painting of our lady.."Nuestra Sra." Guad.

I now also have a white decal "Guad" for the rear-window and in old english the lettering "JALISCO" or JAL works for short...also in white decal...only thing I didn't buy was a set of small extended gold "low-rider" wheels as these cause your gas-milage to drop alot and besides now they're somewhat outta fashion...it's the huge rims now 20 inches or so.

Remember Española, NM is the low-rider capital of NorthAmerica...it;s where it all started....now with most of this stuff displayed on mi carro, no hay problemas¡

Try it..it works! Of course sometimes I just cover up the "new" on my tag and then it just says "mexico"
