we are also part timers down here and are concerned about the sanitation. despite some of the things posted, Mark in the post after yours did bring up the learned observations of someone very knonwledgable with our water system. If is a good one, especially for a small town in MX. Overriding this it the fact that the vast majority of folks drink bottled water. I can report first hand that the sewer system is working, there is no water coming out of any of the manholes. Since the reports a month or so ago about effluent coming out of the system down near the low point near the pump station, officials from La Huerta have come over and helped the locals better understand the system. The water that was coming out in past years was ground water or storm water that got into the system since no one had actully connected. There seems to be less gray water being put in the streets and if my nose is any good, no black water.
