Yes, Stay at Hotel Morales. It's right in the middle of town. Beautiful and reasonable. It was built in the 30s and has to be seen. Google it for pictures.

Take the Calendria (horse and buggy) but get an English speaking driver or you won't have a clue what you're seeing...unless you are smart enough to have learned Spanish.

The huge market is amazing and overwhelming.

I'm sure there are other experts the have ideas.

Oh, if you like really touristy stuff there's a train excursion that takes you to the Heradura (?) factory. It's VERY touristy, but kind of fun.
