From what I've read over the years, Castaneda's message is consistent. This article is no different.
Nobody likes this guy, he challenges the status quo on both sides of the boarder.
Out of love for country and his brethren he pounds away, changing the words, and examples in order his message not be marginalized.
After all he is a long winded academic.
I believe him to be spot on.
Because Mexican people have had someones boot firmly planted on the back of their neck for hundreds of years, they have lost their identity.
First the Spanish, then the Catholics, the Americans, the PRI, now the cartels. What a F**king shame the warmest most gentle people I've ever met are in this pediment.

Side note: Castaneda's "Companero" infuriated Castro so much he secretly recorded a meeting between Himself, Vincente Fox And Castaneda. After editing the tape to make it sound as though Fox and Castenada were planning to carve up parts of Latin America. He released the tape to the media. Anyone remember?
Companero is the best book I've ever read about Che's revolution in Cuba.
