One of the real values of the Internet is to back up a statement with a link to the source. Michael Zenn did not link to the ABC article when he quoted them. Many others link to quote or repeat his statement as if is their own. I can't find the ABC article (or a link to it) anyplace. At the beginning of http://www.boomersabroad.com/component/content/article/41/1583.html - the article Michael Zenn has this actual in quotes - "Reports of violence have only reduced the frequency or duration of trips to Mexico for only 7 percent of Americans and remains retirees' No. 1 travel destination." - ABC News The only place I could find a source for that was this Christian Science Monitor article, (includes the other quote he attributed to ABC News). Christian Science Monitor says they got the info from here, which I shall read now (or soon) For the time being Michael Zenn is on my don't read, don't believe list. Until proven otherwise I am going to assume he just makes stuff up. Shame on the Internet for repeating anything he say's. |
