FYI: In some parts of Mexico it is illegal to sell wild orchids. While in Veracruz I was only able to buy two that had been grown in an approved orchid nursery where they were raised. Even if it is not enforced ;{ in most areas of Mexico you might want to ask before you buy and thus educate those who sell them that taking them from the wild is devastating to our environment. This region has been depleted of much its flora in the same way.They like parrots...are
much more enjoyed in the wild. Or we might only have photos to enjoy in the future. Very lovely photo though.
