Dog crates have a certain type of bolt and kind of a wing nut type of bolt that can be undone with the fingers which is very helpful when you have to take a cage apart to put it into a car, taxi or whatever at the airport where you would not be able to be carrying a tool to get them undone. The regulations also state that all parts on the cage need to be regulation replacement parts for that cage(which is an Alaska thing) Yes, I am going to try to modify the cage even tho they say not to, but I still am looking for ANOTHER cage if anyone has one. By the way, Westjet has not been told of this "NEW MEXICAN LAW" I spoke with them this am and they said they are flying animals in cabin no problem and have not heard anything about this. ?????? They fly from PV Linda |
