I have been driving from Santa Fe to LaManzanilla for the last 4 years in a 2003 Jetta TDI (turbodiesel) I runs fine on Pemex diesel and in fact the fuel filters in both the VW A4 Audi engine and the Cummins are so good that I think they are 10microns and include a water filter and drain. The water that might be in a storage tank is what can really get to you just ask any driver of a big 18 wheeler. Also you can use a sulphur additive to prevent any problems in lubrication which is what the sulphur does anyway. My question is why would he want to drive a pickup unless he has a camper shell?
