Hi Sig,
I am not connected to the street operation anymore than anyone else. If you want to know my position on the whole project, I happen to love La Manzanilla just fine without the street being paved. Even though that means lots of dust and that I have to wash my car and clean the office daily!
Not only will paving the road lead to people driving faster it also eliminates one of my favorite pastimes, watching females ride vehicles down the bumpy road.
I would agree that it might need a bit of grading at the moment. The Delegado Gustavo knows what he is doing, he will grade it a certain number of times over the rainy season. No reason to do it if it's going to rain the next day.
As far as the compaction issue, time will tell eh?
On the alternate route, that's a someday thing, best to ask Gustavo if there are any plans of that sort. All of the traffic goes right by my office so I know how busy it can get at times.
I love La Manzanilla just like it is.
D
