| Many banks in the U.S. offer a currency exchange service. Often only avalible through their web sites. We have found this is often the least expensive alternative if we plan far enough ahead. It can take 2 weeks and often has a fixed service charge so it makes more sense when you are talking larger sums,i.e. in the high triple digits not double digits. |
