Norma: Thanks for the explanation, but I don't buy it. There are many, many male dogs here with testicles that do not emit blood from their penises, that are quite docile and sweet. Certainly, if one smells a b###h in heat, he will act at he was born to act. They are also territorial, but that is also in their nature. Human males oftentimes act territorial, fight in the streets, but no government that I know of imposes the penalty of castration upon them. In all honesty, I think we castrate dogs so that are better, less troublesome pets. So, we castrate simply because it is in our desire that dogs are docile, and not the animals they were born to be. Just my opinion.
