Understandably there is a confusion about La Catalina Natural Language School, a for profit organization that teaches Spanish to foreigners, and La Catalina Foundation, Asociación Civil (A.C.) a registered Mexican non-profit that supports the Mexican community and depends on fundraisers since it has no income.

La Catalina Natural Language School is located by La Manzanilla art gallery and operates from November – April, teaching Spanish classes to foreigner.

La Catalina Foundation, A.C., is located behind the Kinder. We have a building that has been constructed on land donated by the Ejido and with funds that have been raised from 2004 to present. There is currently a classroom, computer lab, bathrooms and a garden. Many of our programs are now run by paid Mexican teachers and staff, but we also still welcome volunteer help! The Foundation runs free classes at our facility behind the kinder and in the 3 public schools, including some of the following:

English classes in the public schools (grades kinder-9th grade)
Afterschool art and English classes
Summer camp for primary school kids
Wings economic assistance program for youth attending middle school, high school and university which started with 1 student in2007 and currently has 50 youth sponsored by many generous people!!!

The wishlist items will be distributed between the 3 public schools, the Foundation and the Day Care and is always a big help!
